Artichoke Plate
What to serve at a ladies lunch with sandwiches?
I decided to make a sandwich recipe my sister recently used (basil pesto, tomatoes, artichokes, spinach and provolone on french bread) at an upcoming ladies lunch. I am serving a berry crumble for dessert, and cannot decide what to serve for a side. I am not serving at my home, so do not want to use an oven; do-ahead recipes are essential. Obviously, I have veggies in the sandwich and fruit in the dessert, so looking for a GREAT side dish -can be in a crock pot or cold. I will have a small slice of watermelon and cantaloupe on the plate for color.
Potato salad and/or coleslaw would go well. Make ahead and serve cold!
