Old German pottery marking?

My grandfather, fathers (my great-grandfather) had an antique shop and my father was always a pitcher of water in search of anything. Its designed with diagonal blue stripes with flowers (plants likeish) designs in the boxes that these lines do. It has a handle. It has a marking of one (yeah theres only one) sword on bottom and a word long enough that my father said is probably where it was made. This is a German piece of pottery. Sorry I could not post pictures, but my father will not let me touch it. He thinks it's very valuable. Now, given my grandfather's great-grandfather (I never met him, he died well before my birth) had bought the jug of water for his antique shop it must have been (at least) 50 years or older at the time. Im trying to find out how much it is worth of antiques. Please give me links whatever images that has to do with pottery marking or of the pottery itself. Thank you so much guys! This type of pottery from an area which is called "potters" or Westerwald. Here http://keramik-atlas.de/keramiknews/2008/11/westerwalder-gebrauchsgeschirr/ one side with some pictures of the genera Typical pottery. I live in the surrouding Adendorf center Rhine Pottery: http://www.adendorfer-toepfergemeinschaft.de/ But these were thing of all pottery uses per day. They had masses of this stuff, so it can not be very valuable.
